Course Description

The goal of this  course specific to ABB robots is to provide students who have little or no prior exposure to robot technology, knowledge and confidence on how to operate the robots and  make them learn how to operate and modify the robot programs apart from introducing them to Material Handling , Assembly , Machine Tending and Arc welding applications  who need a greater depth of knowledge. This course also exposes the users to  high level programming features and techniques.

Course Outcome

At the end of this course , the users will be able to understand the Basic of Robot,  Types , Robot operation, programming of applications using ABB Robots in Machine Tending, Arc Welding , Material Handling and Assembly with the  design of work cells for the application, selection of appropriate robot and end effector for the application, selection of requisite accessories – vision system, vision system programming simulation and prove out of the application ,simulation and prove out of the application, determine the productivity, cycle time and optimise production process in this area.
